“Take her to a good restaurant”
If you’ve been on the dating scene for a while, you know that sometimes it can be boring to do the same old thing all the time. Coffee shops are starting to become the bane of your existence, and your wallet is screaming at you for all of the fancy restaurants you’ve been going to. Making things more interesting and more budget friendly is probably becoming quite the priority for you at this point, but sometimes it can be difficult to know exactly what you can do to break out of the mold and try something new. Knowing all about how to date creatively will help you put the spring back in your step.
Making Sure You Don’t Go Overboard
One issue that may pop up when you start trying to go on creative, unique dates is that you may find yourself going overboard. Some things just aren’t feasible for a simple date, while others can be a bit too serious for a casual date. Know your limits and think carefully about the woman you’re dating and what she’s likely to appreciate. If she doesn’t like surprises, don’t surprise her, even if you think it’s a great idea. If there are things you know she doesn’t like, do not include them in your creative date idea. Try to keep your date to a few ideas at maximum instead of cramming all your date ideas into one. The simpler your idea is, the less chance there is for disaster – so keep things short and sweet as far as planning goes.
Knowing What Will Actually Make a Good Date
“Go for a well-organized picnic date”
Some ideas sound great in theory but in practice they wind up being a bad idea and not fun for anybody involved. Even if you see a movie with a great and creative idea for a date, it may not translate as well in real life. Picnics on beaches are never quite as nice as they look when you see somebody else having one. There’s all that sand to take into consideration, not to mention the wind and sun and all of the other elements that can ruin a perfectly good date idea. When all else fails, stick to what you know and try to keep things casual while still putting your creative twist on it.
The Downsides to Getting Creative
Sometimes going on a unique and new date can be great, but sometimes it can be a terrible mistake. Classics are classic for a reason – they are tried and true and very little can go wrong. Getting creative with your date ideas is always going to invite a slight element of danger, because you never know what might go wrong. You could wind up with the most memorable date of your life, but it may not be memorable for the right reasons. You certainly don’t want to go down in infamy in your girlfriend’s imagination, so if you’re not sure if an idea will really go over well, maybe you should stick to something you already know.
