So she’s crazy for animals. You? Not so much. So how can you plan dates that work for you both? Dating an animal lover might sound difficult, but it’s really not. All it takes is some creative thinking. Taking her out on dates that are animal related is a good way to get her impressed with you.
This might seem like the most obvious date choice, for good reason. The abundance of animals appeals to every kind of animal lover. On top of that, zoos have a variety of activities that you can participate in. You can follow along on an educational tour or watch animal shows. The zoo is also a great date choice because it’s an outdoor venue, which allows you to enjoy nice weather on top of everything else.
If she’s an avid cat or dog lover, consider taking her out to a dog or cat show. These are frequently held in urban areas. She’ll get to see every kind of breed of cat or dog, as well as watch them perform. These shows sometimes have exhibitions attached. You can wander through these and buy food, toys, or supplies for animals.
This combines the best of the outdoors and animals. Taking her out for an afternoon of horseback riding can be romantic and fun. You can make it an all-day event or just ride around for a couple hours. You’ll obviously have to find an equestrian center that offers rides. Most cities have at least one nearby. You want something more exotic than horses? Consider taking her out for an elephant or camel ride (if you can find them offered somewhere).
Go to a Petting Zoo / Farm
There are a ton of farms / petting zoos that make great date ideas for animal lovers. These farms usually have a variety of different animals ranging from normal domestic livestock to the more exotic, like alpacas or emus. Most often these farms also function as petting zoos, allowing you to interact with the animals. There’s also generally merchandise for sale at visitor-friendly farms and petting zoos, which is a great place to find gifts for an animal lover.
Visit a Wildlife Sanctuary
A wildlife sanctuary can be another great date idea if you’re dating an animal lover. While you may not be able to interact with the animals, you will be able to observe them in a habitat that is as close to natural as is possible. These sanctuaries often also serve as an educational institution. Animal lovers will enjoy being able to see endangered wildlife that is being kept safe.
See the Circus
A circus is a great date not only because of the animals included, but because of how many other things there are to do. Some circuses have a midway and rides that can add to your entertainment. Most circuses have a lot of exotic animals that you wouldn’t regularly be able to see. On top of that you’ll get to see them perform.
